A co do pytania: jeżeli w usługach nie masz uruchomoinej usługi apacha, to
wystarczy klinkąć prawym przyciskiem myszy na Apache Service i wybrać
start
service. Nie jest to trudne. Wystarczy odrobina intuicji.

NIE NIE TRUDNE, GDY WSZYSTKO DZIAŁA! ale u mnie nie działa. Po uruchomieniu
apache -i w wierszu poleceń dostaję komunikat o błędzie:

Use the ServerName directive to see it manually

Co można zrobić?

A jeżeli Apacha w ogóle nie masz wylistowanego w services to z menu
start-programs-apache web server wybierz opcję Install Apache As windows
service (lub coś podobnego)

1) Simply log into your Byethost Cpanel.
2) Manage Domains
3) Add Alias :

mydomain.com ( Without the www's !)

Leave the mount point at its default.

Then after 30 minutes maximum the alias will be added. You will then see under FTP for the account, a new folder (named the domain name) with htdocs inside that.

This htdocs is where the new domain's web documents need uploaded !

4) Log into your Domain providers Cpanel and change the name servers to your Byethost name servers.

How basic is Visual Basic?

I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking 'How basic is Visual
Basic' or 'How BASIC is Visual Basic'? In other words, are you asking 'is it
a good language for beginners', or 'is it a true member of the BASIC family
of programming languages'?

To be honest with you, I don't think either question is particularly
meaningful. The best language for a beginner to learn depends to a large
extent on what the person wants to achieve. If you want to learn practical
programming skills as a way to improve your understanding of theoretical
principles, then you might be better off learning Pascal. If you're more
interested in getting some useful programs up and running quickly, and/or
acquiring practical skills to use in the 'real world' then the choice is
probably between Visual Basic and Delphi. C/C++ and Java are definitely not
beginners languages!

As for BASIC, there have always been many different versions of BASIC.
Visual Basic is an event-driven language for an event-driven environment. As
such it necessarily differs widely from versions written for command-line
driven operating systems/environments like DOS. Does this mean that it is
not really BASIC anymore? And if so, who cares? It gets the job done, and
that's what matters. Yes, I know BASIC was originally developed as a
teaching language, but Visual Basic wasn't. That's not it's primary purpose.

Me, I'm just glad that I don't have to try to remember what 'GOSUB 10000'
means anymore!

Witam instaluje mysql'a następująco:

[root@10:~]# su - mysql

mysql@10:~$ /usr/bin/mysql_install_db

Na wstępie od razu zaznaczam iż korzystam z ich PP. Nie ukrywam tego, wyrażam swoją opinię o niżej przedstawionej firmie, a jak kogoś to zachęci do kupna, będę wdzięczny za użycie mojego refa po prostu

Szukałem ostatnio taniego i w miarę solidnego hostingu na wschodnim wybrzeżu USA (wiadomo, aby pingi były jak najmniejsze).

Duże nadzieje pokładałem w Site5.com bo do nich pingi były na granicy ~ 120ms i w konsekwencji strony ładowały się całkiem przyzwoicie. Niestety firma przeniosła się do nowego DC w Texasie theplanet.com, przez co znacznie ucierpiały pingi i teraz wynoszą >180ms w porywach do 300ms.

Dreamhost skreśliłem od razu, z racji mojej już dwuletniej "przygody" z tą firmą i już gruntownie wyrobionej opinii.

I tak moją uwagę przykuła dość znana na zachodzie firma hostnine.com.

Mamy tam do wyboru pakiety od shared po resellery aż do dedyków. Najtańszy shared 5GB/100GB to koszt ok 4$/m.

Firma jako jedna z nielicznych daje nam możliwość wyboru lokalizacji naszego konta. Mamy do wyboru:

Co mnie bardzo mile zaskoczyło to właśnie DC położone w UK, do którego pingi mamy na poziomie ~50ms. Czyli tak upraszczając:

Today is exactly fifteen days i came to Poland and what i have learned and seen so far is amazing,when i met Krystyna in Ghana early this year she told me about Freespirit foundation Poland, and she said it would be a good idea to establish it in Ghana also,i did not hesitate to support the idea because that has been my dreams and plans for a long time,so to me is like a dream come true.

Later we legally registered freespirit foundation Ghana,during registration the officer in charge of registration in Accra asked me how come about this name he said over twenty years of registering foundations he never seen anything similar,in fact he will like to be a member.that makes me to conclude and believed the saying"the name of a thing defines it's function"

A quote "THE COMPANY YOU KEEP DETERMINES YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENT IN LIFE" for this reason i dedicate myself as a volunteer to do all kind of voluntary work and ready to work with all kind of people in respective of race,colour or religion.

I will also use this opportunity to plead on behalf of millions of African children who are suffering of hunger and shelter most of this children are deprived of basic needs they can't even afford three square meal a day and the worst part of it all, African leaders are doing little or no help.

TT, but it might be too slow in case of big interest from people, however

which will be able to service all the ftp, http (most important), mail and
news services. So we wonder that maybe you can find a pleasure and/or
interest to help us prevent from die and promoting atari scene and ...

registered users (they've sent an info about them) and 20 of them are
falcon owners. I also know that many of them are thinking about buing
somewhat faster atari compatibile machine so it would be good point to
them seein such a gift from you. You have also to know that in Poland
there is few hundreds falcons users guessing what to do to no buy very

Czy sa to naprawde serwery wirtualne?
A moze raczej jest to usluga hostingowa? Jezeli ktos nie rozumie po polsku,
przytocze ogolnie przyjeta definicje po angielsku:

In an effort to improve communications with the development community,
enable Linux users to test bleeding-edge technology, speed development,
and improve the quality of future Red Hat Linux releases (as well as to
end world hunger and eliminate human conflict), Red Hat will be releasing
development versions of the Red Hat Linux Operating System on a regular
basis.

Dubbed "Raw Hide," the releases will have version numbers independent of
Red Hat Linux's version. Raw Hide 1.0 will appear on ftp.redhat.com on
Friday, August 14 for public gnawing.

How Raw Hide is a Team Effort

The success of Linux and its rapid adoption by an increasing number of
users for mission-critical applications has resulted in a growing number
of developers. In addition to helping new users discover Linux, this
development community continues to bring new features, tools, and utilities
to Linux. As the Linux development community continues to push the rapid
evolution of Linux, infrequently released Linux distributions have a difficult
time providing the latest tools and innovations developers need.

To solve this problem, Red Hat Software is harnassing the rapid development
model which has proven so successful for developing individual components
of the Linux operating system. This model helps us deliver award-winning
OSs, and we anticpiate that Raw Hide will provide similar benefits. It's
our hope that the feedback we receive from the Linux development community
will range from notification of errors and omissions to valuable discussions
of the technical benefit (or lack thereof) of new features.

These releases have not been quality tested by Red Hat's Quality Assurance
team. They may not boot. If they boot, they may not install. If they install,
they may not do anything other then waste CPU cycles. If anything breaks,
you most assuredly own the many fragments which will be littered across your
floor.

It may not be possible to upgrade from Red Hat to Raw Hide, from Raw Hide
to Red Hat, or from Raw Hide to Raw Hide! If a stable upgrade path is
important to you, please do not use Raw Hide.

DO NOT USE THESE RELEASES FOR ANY WORK WHERE YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR APPLICATION
RUNNING, THE ACCURACY OF YOUR DATA, THE INTEGRITY OF YOUR NETWORK, OR ANY

jednak jak chce zainstalowac mysql wersji 5.0.51 to wywala mi errora

NOTE: This is a MySQL binary distribution. It's ready to run, you don't
need to configure it!

To help you a bit, I am now going to create the needed MySQL databases
and start the MySQL server for you. If you run into any trouble, please
consult the MySQL manual, that you can find in the Docs directory.

WARNING: The host 'slackware' could not be looked up with resolveip.
This probably means that your libc libraries are not 100 % compatible
with this binary MySQL version. The MySQL daemon, mysqld, should work
normally with the exception that host name resolving will not work.
This means that you should use IP addresses instead of hostnames
when specifying MySQL privileges !
Installing MySQL system tables...

To start mysqld at boot time you have to copy
support-files/mysql.server to the right place for your system

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SET A PASSWORD FOR THE MySQL root USER !
To do so, start the server, then issue the following commands:
./bin/mysqladmin -u root password 'new-password'
./bin/mysqladmin -u root -h slackware password 'new-password'

Alternatively you can run:
./bin/mysql_secure_installation

which will also give you the option of removing the test
databases and anonymous user created by default. This is
strongly recommended for production servers.

You can start the MySQL daemon with:
cd . ; ./bin/mysqld_safe &

You can test the MySQL daemon with mysql-test-run.pl
cd mysql-test ; perl mysql-test-run.pl
